At least 210 children killed in Iran since onset of US-Israeli attacks
TEHRAN — Iran’s health minister said on Sunday that at least 210 children have lost their lives and 1,510 others have been injured since the United States and Israel began their attacks on February 28.
During a visit to a hospital in Tehran, Mohammad Reza Zafarghandi also reported that around 300 health, medical, and emergency facilities have been damaged during this period. He added that approximately 30 ambulances have been rendered inoperable after sustaining damage.
According to his statement, a single strike on a primary school in the southern city of Minab on February 28 resulted in the deaths of 150 schoolgirls.
Citing Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the head of the World Health Organization, the minister noted that he had posted on X that the attack on the Minab school could not be explained as a miscalculation. Rather, it constituted a crime against humanity, and no other definition was possible.
